If you are using IDM (Internet Download Manager) to download files,you must have missed one of the best feature of IDM. DO you know you can add many files in a queue and let it to download them one by one.All you need to do is to start the queue and relax. You really don't have to wait one file to complete just to add another for download or you don't have to worry that all files are downloading at the same time.
Follow the steps along with the screenshots.
Step 1: Go to Scheduler and a Scheduler window popup.
Step 2: Choose "Main download queue" from left side panel
Step 3: Click on "files in the queue" panel from where you can set how many files you want to download at a time,you can choose 1, 2 or more files to download at a time.
Step 4: Now finally click on "Start Now" button.
Step 5. You can change the position of files in queue using up and down arrow or remove it from queue using X icon as shown in below screenshot.
Step 6: Now when IDM ask you to download a file, you can click on "Download later" Instead of "Download Now" option and choose the "Main download queue" from "add files to the queue" drop-down menu and don't forget to enable "Start queue processing" checkbox if it isn't already checked.That's it!
You can add as many files as you want, to the queue by clicking on "Download later " each time the IDM as you to download files.All those files will be in queue and only certain number of files (as you have set in Step 3) will download at time and other files will be downloaded in queue.
You can explore more, by creating new queue with meaning full name like "english movies" or "tutorials" instead of using "Main download queue" and follow the above steps for that queue.
